What a U.S. Bank statement looks like

U.S. Bank prints its transaction table with these columns. We read every row exactly as it appears and return clean, normalized data.

  • Dates are printed as Mmm DD (e.g. Mar 23) without a year — the statement period in the header carries the year
  • No per-row balance. Transactions sit in typed sections — Deposits / Credits, Card Withdrawals, Other Withdrawals, and Checks Paid — and a separate Balance Summary lists the ending balance only for days it changed.
  • Every section carries a Ref Number column, and descriptions wrap across several printed lines with REF strings mixed in. We separate reference numbers from descriptions, merge all sections into one signed transaction list, and complete every date with the year.

Why convert your U.S. Bank statement here

U.S. Bank statements have their own quirks. We built our converter for them.

Four sections, one clean table

Deposits / Credits, Card Withdrawals, Other Withdrawals, and Checks Paid are merged into one chronological list with signed amounts — money out negative, money in positive.

Ref numbers split from descriptions

U.S. Bank prints long reference strings inside and next to transaction descriptions. We separate them into their own column, so descriptions stay readable and refs stay searchable.

Years added to every date

Rows are dated "Mar 23" with no year. We resolve each date against the statement period — including statements that span December into January.

Nothing to lose

If a conversion fails, your credits are refunded automatically — and your first 10 pages are free.

How to download your U.S. Bank statement

You need the PDF first. Here is where U.S. Bank keeps it.

Online banking

  1. 1 Log in to online banking at usbank.com
  2. 2 Select "Accounts" from the menu at the top of the page (in the older layout: My accounts, then My documents)
  3. 3 Choose "Statements" as the document type
  4. 4 Pick your account from the drop-down — switch the document year to reach older statements
  5. 5 Select the statement link to open, print, or save the PDF

Mobile app

  1. 1 Open the U.S. Bank Mobile App and log in
  2. 2 Open the main menu and choose "Statements & docs"
  3. 3 Select the document type, then choose your account
  4. 4 Pick a document year if you need an older statement
  5. 5 Open the statement and use the share option to save the PDF

Up to 7 years of statements are available in online and mobile banking — checking and savings from August 2017 onward. Note that U.S. Bank's separate transaction-history download only reaches back 18 months online, so for anything older the PDF statement is the record.

What customers say

"U.S. Bank puts deposits, card withdrawals, and electronic withdrawals in three different tables. I used to rebuild the timeline by hand every month for my shop's books. Now it's one upload and the sections come back as a single dated list."

Karen Voss

"I needed three years of statements for a mortgage application, but the online transaction export only goes back 18 months. The PDFs went back seven years — converted them all in one evening for a few dollars."

Derek Holman

"The REF strings U.S. Bank mixes into descriptions used to wreck my spreadsheet columns. Here they land in their own column, and the descriptions finally read like plain English."
