Convert ANZ Statements to Excel & CSV
Upload a ANZ PDF statement and get every transaction back in clean, ready-to-use columns. $0.15 per page, no subscription.
What a ANZ statement looks like
ANZ prints its transaction table with these columns. We read every row exactly as it appears and return clean, normalized data.
- Dates are printed as DD MMM in uppercase without a year (e.g. 28 JAN) — the year prints as its own standalone row above the transactions
- A Balance ($) column beside every transaction row — debit balances carry a DR suffix (266,475.35 DR) instead of a minus sign.
- Statements open with BALANCE BROUGHT FORWARD and are interrupted by TOTALS AT END OF PAGE and TOTALS AT END OF PERIOD rows — totals, not transactions. Long descriptions wrap onto extra lines with empty date and amount cells (transfer references, EFFECTIVE DATE lines). We merge the wrapped lines, keep the totals rows out of your sums, and turn DR balances into signed numbers.
Why convert your ANZ statement here
ANZ statements have their own quirks. We built our converter for them.
Totals rows, kept out
ANZ drops TOTALS AT END OF PAGE and TOTALS AT END OF PERIOD rows into the middle of the table. We exclude them so your sums match the summary box instead of doubling.
DR becomes a real negative
Debit balances print as 266,475.35 DR rather than a minus figure. We convert the suffix into a proper negative number Excel can calculate with.
Older than the export window
ANZ's CSV export stops at two years, and closed accounts get no export at all. Statements stay downloadable for seven years — convert those PDFs instead.
Nothing to lose
If a conversion fails, your credits are refunded automatically — and your first 10 pages are free.
How to download your ANZ statement
You need the PDF first. Here is where ANZ keeps it.
Online banking
- 1 Log in to ANZ Internet Banking and select your account
- 2 Click "View statements" on the left
- 3 Select the account from the dropdown list
- 4 Click "Download" — the statement PDF opens in a new window
Mobile app
- 1 Log in to the ANZ App and select your account
- 2 Tap "Statements"
- 3 Choose the statement period
- 4 Tap the share icon at the top right to download or print
ANZ keeps statements online for up to seven years, closed accounts included (in the app: More, then View statements). Transaction export only reaches back two years and only works on open accounts — beyond that, the PDF is the record.

What customers say
"Every import counted ANZ's TOTALS rows as transactions and doubled my month. This one skips them, and the closing balance finally matches the summary box."
Rebecca Lawson
"I closed my Access Advantage account and the export option disappeared with it. The statements were still there as PDFs — this turned seven years of them into one spreadsheet."
Dean Marino
"Half my transfers carry the reference on a second line, which used to import as amount-less phantom rows. Now each transfer is one clean row."
Chloe Nguyen
