What a HSBC statement looks like
HSBC prints its transaction table with these columns. We read every row exactly as it appears and return clean, normalized data.
- Dates are printed as DD MMM YY (e.g. 01 Jul 26), printed only on the first transaction of each day
- The Balance column shows the end-of-day balance on the last transaction of each day, not on every row.
- Payment-type codes prefix each transaction — VIS (Visa debit), DD (direct debit), SO (standing order), ATM, TFR, and ))) for contactless — and the table is bracketed by balance brought forward and carried forward rows.
Why convert your HSBC statement here
HSBC statements have their own quirks. We built our converter for them.
Every row gets its date
HSBC prints the date only on the first transaction of each day. We fill it in for every row, so sorting and filtering just work.
Payment codes kept readable
VIS, DD, SO, ATM and contactless markers stay in the description, so you can still tell how each payment was made.
Paid out and in, one signed amount
The separate Paid out and Paid in columns become one signed number per transaction, with the original layout preserved alongside.
Nothing to lose
If a conversion fails, your credits are refunded automatically — and your first 10 pages are free.

What customers say
"HSBC only prints the date on the first transaction of each day, so my sorted spreadsheets were a mess. Here every row gets its own date filled in, and everything lines up."
Emma Whitcombe
"I rely on the VIS, DD, and SO codes to see how each payment went out. They stay in the description instead of getting stripped, and the Paid out and Paid in columns become one signed amount."
Oliver Grant
"I manage rent across a few HSBC accounts. Converting each statement to Excel puts the end-of-day balances and every payment in one sheet I can filter, instead of six separate PDFs."
