What a Discover statement looks like
Discover prints its transaction table with these columns. We read every row exactly as it appears and return clean, normalized data.
- Dates are printed as MM/DD without a year (02/09) — the year lives only in the statement's open/close period, which can cross year-end
- No balance column — it's a card statement. The Account Summary reconciles instead: Previous Balance, minus Payments and Credits, plus Purchases, Fees, and Interest, equals New Balance. We verify every extracted row against that equation.
- Transactions split into two stacked tables — "Payments and Credits" (signed negative, like the payment row above) and "Purchases" with a Merchant Category on every row. Long merchant strings wrap to a second line, Cashback Bonus redemptions appear as credit rows, and older statements in the seven-year archive use different layouts with a separate Post Date column and "Sep 30" dates. We merge, sign, and normalize all of it.
Why convert your Discover statement here
Discover statements have their own quirks. We built our converter for them.
Two tables, one signed ledger
Payments and Credits print in their own table above Purchases, and cashback redemptions hide among the credits. We merge both tables chronologically with correct signs and classify the redemption rows.
Merchant categories, preserved
Discover prints a Merchant Category — Gasoline, Restaurants — on every purchase row. We keep it as its own column, so your spreadsheet arrives pre-categorized.
Seven years, three layouts
Your Discover archive spans layout generations — Post Date eras, "Sep 30" dates, today's category format. All of them convert to one consistent spreadsheet, with years inferred correctly even when a cycle crosses New Year's.
Nothing to lose
If a conversion fails, your credits are refunded automatically — and your first 10 pages are free.

What customers say
"Discover stopped doing QBO files and my QuickBooks feed just died. Uploading the PDF statement gets me a clean import in minutes."

"The CSV from Discover's site skips interest and the Cashback Bonus lines, so nothing reconciled. Converting the actual statement finally matched the New Balance."
Priya Raman
"I pulled five years of statements for an IRS letter — three different layouts in the stack. Every one converted into the same clean columns."
